The question everyone asks first

“Are we going to be OK?”

A market downturn. A health event no one saw coming. One bad year at the wrong time can undo decades of careful saving — and you feel that every time the headlines turn.

That's why we don't start with products. We start with a written plan that protects what you've built and turns it into dependable income — so the answer becomes a confident yes.

The New Light Planning Process

Five steps from uncertainty to daylight.

Every plan moves through the same disciplined sequence — in order, because each step depends on the one before it.

01The Foundation

Protect your retirement before anything else. We stress-test your position against market shocks, inflation, and longevity so the plan is built on ground that doesn't move.

  • Downside protection
  • Written plan

02Income Planning

Your paycheck stops; your bills don't. We engineer reliable monthly income from Social Security timing, pensions, investments, and — where appropriate — guaranteed sources.

  • Social Security
  • Pension analysis
  • Investment income
  • Annuities

04Healthcare Planning

One of the most underestimated costs in retirement. We plan for coverage before 65, Medicare decisions at 65, and long-term care realities after — before they plan for you.

  • Early retirement coverage
  • Medicare
  • Long-term care

Good questions

The things people ask before they call.

Straight answers, before you ever pick up the phone. If your question isn't here, it's a great way to start the first conversation.

What does the first meeting cost?+
Nothing. The first conversation is complimentary and carries no obligation. We'll review where you stand, walk through what the New Light Planning Process would look like for your situation, and you'll leave knowing more than you did — whether or not we work together.
How are you paid?+
We believe you should always know exactly how your advisor is compensated, and we'll explain our fee structure clearly and in writing before you commit to anything. No hidden costs, no surprises.
What does "fiduciary" actually mean?+
It means we are legally and ethically required to act in your best interest — not just to recommend things that are "suitable." Not every financial professional is held to this standard. As a CFP® professional and registered investment advisor, we are, on every recommendation.
Do I have to move all my accounts to work with you?+
No. The plan comes first. We start by understanding your full picture, and any decisions about consolidating or moving accounts are made together, only where it genuinely serves the plan.
Is it too early — or too late — to start?+
The best window is 5–10 years before retirement, when tax and income strategies have the most room to work. But we regularly help people already in retirement strengthen their plan. The honest answer: the right time is before your next big decision, not after.
